This is an expressionist style which was so popular with artists between around 1955-1965. Here the flowers are all there visually, yet are disconnected and "floating" in space to emphasize what the artist wants the viewer to take in. This is very "friendly" art and is a visual pick me up for an interior. This same style was used often in children's books of the period because of its easy, appealing nature and ability to "draw in" a viewer. The colors are sensational and both warm and the cool blue adds a great contrast to refresh! This is in excellent condition and an amazing survivor!
